As an organisation, our primary role is to plan and commission local services to improve health and health outcomes for our residents, whilst also reducing the health inequalities that we know exist across our communities.
Our work is broad and covers many different areas — from quality, commissioning, contracting, finance and teams that lead on specific areas and pathways to the many different teams that make sure we deliver on our statutory responsibilities. For example, these include how we engage with our local population and involve them in how local services are planned and delivered, emergency preparedness and responding to incidents and supporting our workforce.
The following pages give an overview of how the ICB works and functions for our population in Surrey and Sussex.
